Sarasota Pedestrian Sleeves, Sarasota, FL - The City of Sarasota Downtown Master Plan identified several intersections to be improved for pedestrian access, launching the term "pedestrian sleeve". The Bayside team technically defined, conceptually configured and formally designed this new idea. The design team worked closely with City and State technical staff to develop design criteria and design elements promoting a safe, comfortable and inviting crossing scenario for ten intersection locations along multiple-lane roadway facilities.
